PPP secured SHP has secured planning permission in principle for a mixed use development in Stirling following an appeal to the Scottish Government’s Directorate of Planning and Environmental Appeals.

The development will include up to 200 houses to be constructed by Barratt Homes West of Scotland, and approximately 2.4 hectares of retail, commercial and business land.  The appeal was granted following the failure of Stirling Council to determine the PPP application within the statutory four month period.

SHP has assisted Scottish Enterprise and Highlands and Islands Enterprise with their responses to two high profile Scottish Government consultations on the latest National Planning Framework, and the Scottish Planning Policy.

SHP drafted responses in consultation with working groups within each of the organisations, allowing detailed responses to be finalised and submitted by the 23rd July deadline.

SHP has submitted a planning application on behalf of Kingsford Developments for 73 studio flats involving the conversion of a Grade B listed former City of Edinburgh Council office building on McDonald Road in Edinburgh.

Kingsford Estates has been working on the high quality urban living concept ‘Urban Key’ for a number of years and the McDonald Road development is the latest development to deliver the concept in the City.
